Beverly has worked for the Municipality of Anchorage since 1996. She is a member of the American Planning Association, and the American Association of Blacks in Energy. Beverly earned a B.S. in political science and sociology from Tuskegee Institute in 1982, and an M.S. in regional and community planning from Kansas State University in 1995. Beverly has been a Link for three years, has served as Parliamentarian, and is the current President of her chapter.

Adrienne is a past president of Black Women Lawyers of Los Angeles, and past president of the California Association of Black Lawyers. She received her education at the University of California, Irvine; Dartmouth College; and the University of California, Hastings College of Law. She is a former Administrative Law Judge for the state of California, and is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and General Counsel. She is president of the Pomona Unified School District.
