The vision of the Committee is that the Western Area shall have, at all times, an up-to-date strategic plan which implements the Area Director’s plans.   The Area Strategic Planning Chair ensures open lines of communication on strategic planning between the Western Area chapters and the National Strategic Planning Committee.  The Area Strategic Planning Chair participates in meetings and operations of the National Strategic Planning Committee and serves on the Area Executive Committee providing updates and direction on strategic planning to the Area Officers.  The Strategic Planning Chair works with each of the Area officers and committee chairs to  develop and periodically update individual strategic plans for the biennium.  Additionally, the Strategic Planning Chair, in consultation with the Area Director, formulates the Area Plan and for submission to National Office including all updates.
